Waechter Dux

Free Range Muscovy Ducks and Free Range Pekin Ducks

We are delighted to bring you this new fantastic band. Waechter Dux farm a unique free range, grain fed duck in Flaxmans Valley, Barossa Valley, Sth Australia. Their ducks have a special diet consisting predominently of Barossa grown fresh grains. They are fed twice daily with a mixture of barley, wheat, peas and corn.

The ducks are free to roam in the vineyard, fruit orchards and cow paddocks and swim in the dams and natural springs and eat the wild grasses and bugs.

Free Range Pekins have a gamier taste, similar to a wild duck and are more fatty. Muscovies are lighter in both fat and taste and are by far the best yeilding duck breed available. A long time favourite of the Europeans.

Waechter Dux ducks have a unique taste. The meat is extremely flavoursome as well as being meaty and tender. Try this duck with any of your favourite recipes and you will love the difference.

Gosling

Plump young goslings are grown in North Central Victroia and raised on a diet of natural grains, pasture and springwater.
